"Were you scared of the bull?" I was riding the bike and then heard this moo and him make his mooooo chomp chomp bull sound"
---the little lulu
Yes..the wee lil sis has arrived and it's been a blast showing her and now 'our' friend anne around galway. OH! and i've been inducted into the international contingent here! I went to this pub with salsa dancing and must say shimmied a lil and my friend allison who's 19 and from iowa and goes to simon's rock tried to teach me how to dance but i kept trying to lead or soemthign? Carolyn, i'm sure u can sympathize with her haha. But so then we all got free passses to a club and it was 80's night which was fabulous and just danced danced danced.
Then today the Laura, Anne, and me went to these islands off galway called the Aran island--they're famous for wool and are very old ireland. But, so we decided to bike it(its hypothetically only 4 miles) but these bieks were rusty adn old and the gears didnt so much work--so it was a bit o a hike...but we went to this old fort--and when i say i mean, like, 1000 b.c.e. And from there you could lie on your stomach at the edge of these cliffs and look down at the crashing waves. I cant ever imagine having kids--i saw laura get a bit close to the edge and started freaking out. Yikes.
But, so after we came down from the cliffs we realized someone had taken our bikes by mistake so while anne and i had working bikes, the wheel of lauras was all rolly polly ane pretty impossible to ride. So we had to flag down a van to drive her back, lazy butt.
Oh and marc's parents took us out for the most AMAZING dinner last nite--oh good food poor wallet bahhhh.
Anywho i'm soo tired but twon't stop me from going out tonight. And then the european tour shall commence. I prob won't be checking email too often in the next month but i'm sure i'll get to spain and remember that i nearly failed spanish for 6 yrs in a row and want to read some english so...yes:)
P.S Met a half irish/half palestinian guy last weekend --really interesting, he was..ended up talking israeli politics in an irish pub. His accent was really cool too as he lived in israel until 12 years ago--i think he's 23? He just turned in some engineering thesis so he must be a bit older than meself. He invited my friends and me back to a party with some light drugs he says, i ask what kind? He shrugs and is like oh, marijuana, some E, and some cocaine--as if it's like shots of tequilla...so we passed but before we parted ways, to say that he had kissed a jew and me a palestinian~lil peck. Tre amusing.
